#UNVEILED is an event and a platform for emerging and indigenous designers, artistes, comedians and other talents to showcase themselves as well as get adequate exposure for them and their brands.
With more focus on revamping the fashion industry, #UNVEILED has been organised to help designers network, promote their brands and increase business. #Unveiled  through the event and other mediums is set to  create awareness about the quality of talents we have as a nation as well as make Nigerians begin to appreciate and patronise Nigerian designer brands by getting designers and their designs exposed to major fashion industry players especially those that retail wears to the public.

T9ice [real name - Anieteie Dennis Akpan] was born on the 3^rd day of November, 1991. He hails from Adie Nsite L.G.A, Akwa-Ibom Nigeria, and is one to be classified as a born singer and a dynamic song-writer; his vocal skills are to be classified as world class combined, with his craftsmanship.

T9ice serves us 2 singles as his official debut effort on the Nigerian music scene prior to his recent work with fellow label-mate [Mr. ChopChop] on a track titled “Kilonshele” which dropped a while back. Under the supreme management of TommixMusic Record Label and the excellent production work coming from Unique Sound, who’s in charge of the mixing and mastering of these songs, T9ice delivers to us “Loyal & Honest” and “Do Do Do”; these are 2 songs with an edge, more or less a break from the norm.

T9ice, on “Loyal & Honest” renders a perfect introduction of himself on to the Nigerian music industry; making the promise of delivering nothing short of good music. His vocal prowess is evident on this very track as he effortlessly delivers on the 265 seconds long track on an instrumental that’s properly laced and arranged by Unique Sound [an official producer for the TommixMusic Record Label].

Moet & Chandon hosts "View Lagos in Seven Days"

Visual arts lovers and promoters gathered in Lagos last week when Moet and Chandon hosted a private viewing at the Lagos Photo Exhibition.

The exhibition tagged View Lagos in Seven Days berthed at the Eko Hotel, Victoria Island. At the event were the founder of the African Artists Foundation, Azu Nwagbogu; Founder of ArtHouse, Caline Chagoury and renowned photographer, Stanley Greene.

In her welcome address, the Assistant Director of the foundation, Zainab Ashadu, noted that the annual project brought together photographers from different parts of the world, who have made different photographic expressions about Lagos.

Moet & Chandon also notes in a statement that it partnered with the foundation based on its interest in the development of the country's creative industry.

The statement adds, "Moet & Chandon, of the Moet-Hennessy stable, are big supporters of the arts. Over the years, the various Moet Hennessy brands, have supported some of the biggest art exhibitions in Nigeria. These include the auction of Modern and Contemporary Art powered by ArtHouse Contemporary Limited at The Wheatbaker in Ikoyi.

2012 Lagos Fashion and Design Week

The 2012 Lagos Fashion and Design Week, kicks off tonight, but organizers and partners met with the press this morning to discuss the event and what it is about. Present were Omoyemi Akerele, the Creative Director / Founder of the Lagos Fashion and Design Week; Michael Wagner, the Brand Manager of Porsche Nigeria; and Bridget Chukwumah, the Head of Retail, for Research in Motion, West Africa.

Omoyemi Akerele, started off by introducing the event, and some of the objectives of the Week. She pointed that there are many challenges in the fashion industry in Nigeria, and they intend to work with partners like the British Council to develop the Nigerian fashion industry. She pointed to the contribution of RIM, Blackberry makers and to Porsche as the "logistic and lifestyle partners, and a luxury brand for the fashion industry in Nigeria"

She spoke of MTN Communications, the title sponsor, and their commitment to helping fashion and design develop in the country, by the partnership and the other efforts. She talked about first event in the schedule, a cocktail, titled, The Future. The event will award a winner for Young Designer of the Year, from a set of finalists – after a nationwide application and contest.
At tonight's event also, one of the designers, Jewel by Lisa, will unveil blackberry cases made for the 9900 phone. Omoyemi Akerele said the winner will have the opportunity to participate next year at the international fashion week in London, and will be able to participate in a subtraction cutting master class section, and will have collection go to stores.

She’s the last of two children, art is life for her and music is the core of her passion. Like she says, Her art is in her heart. At a very early
age, she had passion for deep philosophical thoughts and words coupled with the love for rhythm. Music was not far fetched for her. Her low range voice and style of singing was not encouraged in the religious institution but
she set out to be the brand she believed was real and appealing. SHe has basic training in theatrical practice. She heads a band named SSV (Sticks, strings and Voices) and debuted her first show in 2010, with Aduke and Fwendz ‘an evening of poetry and conscious music featuring Kafayat Quadri, Sage Has.son, Sistasoul, Adewale Oreshade’, She has performed at literary events and art festivals in Nigeria.

Aduke is a graduate of history and Strategic studies from the University of Lagos. The single ‘Made in Lagos’ is a song that addresses rural / urban migration which is a common trend in major cities all over the world, inspired by real life situations.

Brand new from Aduke,  just like her previous singles “Made in Lagos” , “Fly Away” and “Leke Leke” which gave us that African feel, “Iso Kere”  also has that African feel in it, and also a bit of Afrobeat sound 

Trybe Records' crooner SoJay with "Let Me Love You" cover

Trybe Records' crooner and Top Talent Season 1 Winner, SoJay, gives fans a glimpse of his vocal abilities with an impromptu cover of "Let Me Love You" while hanging out in Iman Studios.  After already wowing the Trybe crew with his vocals a few minutes prior, when SoJay offered to sing another classic, K9 rushed to play the keys, and eLDee, Sarz, and Rukus quickly grabbed their iPads - each with their unique angle of SoJay's stirring rendition.

After winning the 1st edition of the Top Talent competition, SoJay has already shown his vocal prowess with prominent features on eLDee's Undeniable album; both his memorable verse on the club hit "Higher" as well as the ultra-smooth ode to hard work on "We Made It".
