Born April 30 1991,
Wilson Oghenekevwe Ofiavwe,better known to his teeming Edo state fans as
Pun Star, is not just another rapper, he is a good music maker. Roots in Ughelli,Delta
state,reps Warri but grew up in Bariga, Lagos. A BSc holder in mass
communication from the University of Benin, Punstar came to become a name synonymous
with rap in the Ekpoma City campus of UNIBEN.

started rapping at age 14 under the influence of 50 Cent‘s get rich or die
trying album. He later became an ardent fan of Lil Wayne. He also favors
rap legends like 2pac, Nas, Canibus and the like. His dreams are of
someday featuring his rap idol Lil Wayne and someday bagging a Grammy. Pun Star
has worked with various producers, Tari T, KShadow, Netto, Pitch (The
spectacled monster producer who is responsible for the production of his
Street Dreams Ep).
He has also been present
at and killed several shows and rap competitions like koko lounge‘s one
mic, sprite triple slam and even roc da mic talent hunt where he was proclaimed
lyrically fit by judges el boogie and dj Klem. He's also a seasoned battle
rapper. Punstar‘s main rap style involves the employment of
prodigious wordplay, punch lines and pun as the controversial name Pun
Star implies. Pun Star though is a well-rounded and dynamic rapper who is
constantly evolving and getting better.
He also employs a
machine gun type flow as displayed in the first official single "Who dey
muzz" off his Street Dreams EP. This prolific prodigy is a firm
believer in three things... Loyalty, Honour and the Code of the streets.
He fully reps his crew Nasty Sounds Academy and longtime friend and
manager Penprince.
