Jim Iyke to host Golden Icons Academy Movie Awards (GIAMA) in Houston, Texas


 It has officially been confirmed that Nollywood Bad Boy, Jim Iyke is earmarked to host the upcoming Golden Icons Academy Movie Awards (GIAMA) in Houston, Texas on October 20!
Love him or hate him, Jim has no substitute, and he is the guy with the right swag for the job, and guests will definitely be in for a fabulous time. In addition to Jim, there will be line-up of comedian’s, musicians, actors, and film makers that are set to keep the house rocking and entertained.
The GIAMA organization is also introducing a studio-like photoshoot sessions in a dinning environment, on October 20 right before the award ceremony between 10am and 1pm, where the first 50 registered guests will have the opportunity to partake in the Photo Session, ask the stars their questions, and enjoy a complimentary brunch, and this whole deal is valued at an all inclusive fee of $250, which also covers an all night access to the GIAMA award ceremony and after party.



Background
Golden Icons Academy Movie Awards (GIAMA) is an annual award Jamboree designed to celebrate the very best of Africa’s rich culture of entertainment through filmography, which will serve as a vehicle of continent rejuvenation in a proudly African expression.
GIAMA is a concept designed to resonate with African movie lovers in the Diaspora, especially in the United States and Canada as well as lovers of African movies throughout the world. It will serve as a forum for creating a platform that will ensure continuous rewarding of individuals that have exemplified competence, diligence and innovation in the African film making profession.
GIAMA aims is to be solely focused on rewarding excellent movies produced in Africa, or by Africans in the Diaspora. In addition, highly creative musical performances, exhibitions, display of top African brands will be side attractions during the event
Objective
  • Provision of a forum for all African’s to celebrate African movies and their creative delivery.
  • Create a show that would be a mark of excellence and celebrate the unique values that hold us together as one continent.
  • Promote love, unity and harmony amongst actors, directors, producers, script writers, and executive producers of different background and cultures.
  • Ultimately, expose the best of African acts to Hollywood.
