GAISE returns with new singles titled “Awa O Tush Oh” and “Dobale”

Following from the release of his DJ Tee-directed music video for “Movie Song” back in March, award-winning Afrofusion singer, songwriter and artist GAISE returns with two massive brand new singles titled “Awa O Tush Oh” and “Dobale” for our listening pleasure.

Excellently produced by Olaitan Dada of Natialo Productions, “Awa O Tush Oh” is an enthralling Afrofusion record laced with lush drum patterns, synth-heavy keyboards and a heavy bassline over which Gaise shows exactly why he is one of the bests indigenous Nigerian artists in recent times as he rides the stirring backdrop - in Yoruba and in Pidgin English - with a striking lyrical showing and a commanding flow.

On “Dobale”, Gaise takes it a little slower on the mid-tempo feel good opus which is largely backed by percussion drums and slow building keyboard arrangements as he shows off more of his enthralling and captivating vocal abilities on this sweet, melodious and rather poignant and life-affirming record, produced by QBittz.

GAISE - real name, Gboluwaga Akinade IBUOYE - is an Afrofusion artiste signed on to Sanctified Records. The Ekiti State native had his high school education at King’s College, Lagos before proceeding to Obafemi Awolowo University to study Economics and soon after graduating, he became a professional music artist in 2010.

GAISE released his debut album titled GAISEBABA in August 2011 to critical acclaim. The album introduced Gaise unto the Music scene as a singer/songwriter with lyrical dexterities and prowess. Utilising a rich blend of witty rhymes, Yoruba lyrics, sound positive content and a unique style of delivery, GAISE’s music appeals to all generations and he is  now often described as a ‘breath of fresh air’ in the Nigerian music industry.

The album was accompanied by the video for its lead single “Follow Follow” which was nominated for the Best Indigenous Concept at the Nigerian Music Video Awards 2011 and Best Video at the 2012 Africa Entertainment Awards held in Malaysia while he won The Scepters Award for New Revelation in 2011. He released another video from his debut album in March 2012 to critical acclaim and rave reviews.

With a massive fan base in the South-West regions of Nigeria, GAISE has had the privilege of headlining several shows in these parts, including the first ever Ekiti Mega Fiesta in December 2011 where he performed alongside Tuface and Sasha. An avid and captivating performer in his own right, GAISE has also thrilled audiences at the likes of Felabration (October 2011), Cool FM Praise Jam (December 2011), Hip Hop World Award Nominees’ Party, Premier FM Ibadan 10th anniversary Celebrations and the Pepsi Campus Tour among others.
